General Connection Issues

How do I connect to a new server?

Open the settings Skip the registration if it comes up.

Select a server from the list box at the top of the screen.
If the list box is empty, enter a new server name. You can enter the IP address (like 192.168.xxx.yyy) or a server name like My-PC or my-pc.dyndns.org

Hit the Test button. SlimControl will echo the version number of your SqueezeCenter server.

My server requires username and password.

Open the settings Skip the registration if it comes up.

Select the server from the list box at the top of the screen or enter a new server name.

Hit the Settings button and enter username and password.
Don't forget to check the Logon option.
Close the window with the green checkmark button.

Hit Test. SlimControl will echo the version number of your SqueezeCenter server.
